They need a Zigbee hub and work with Alexa and SmartThings. Sengled’s service has had disruptions, but because these are Zigbee bulbs they keep working locally on your hub. Treat them as a value pick and check current reviews before buying in bulk.

For exposed fixtures where Hue’s filament bulbs would go, Sengled’s Zigbee Edison bulb gives an amber 2000K vintage glow with dimming, and works with SmartThings and Echo devices that have a built-in Zigbee hub. It averages about 4 stars from 400+ ratings. The same Sengled brand caveat applies.

It’s RGB only (no dedicated white channel), and ratings are mixed at about 3.5 stars from 70 reviews, so it’s a budget choice for accent color rather than room lighting.

Do non-Hue Zigbee bulbs work with the Hue Bridge?

Many do, especially brands that list Hue support like innr. You add them in the Hue app with “Search for lights” or by entering the serial number. Expect basic control (on/off, dimming, color, scenes) but not every Hue feature; innr notes that Hue Entertainment, Hue Secure and HomeKit exposure through Hue aren’t supported. Brands that don’t mention Hue may pair, but it isn’t guaranteed.

Do I need a Hue Bridge at all?

Are Hue alternatives as good as Hue?
